Yoga has become one of the most popular concepts for attaining physical fitness and living a healthy life. It is an art form that could be taken as a holistic approach towards physical and mental fitness. Yes, for having a healthy life we need to be fit both physically and mentally and yoga is the key to it.   It is intriguing fact that most people consider yoga as a path for gaining physical fitness but little do they understand about the true concept of yoga and healthy life we get from it. 

Yoga is a way of life and performing yoga with discipline has an effect on our physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological well being. Thus one must perform Yoga for a healthy life not just for physical fitness. You can perform basics of yoga at home or take part in different yoga training or 200 hour yoga teacher training programs. The popular concepts of yoga  The most popular and favored concepts of yoga are asanas and pranayama. Together they help in attaining physical fitness and mental peace. The asanas help the person in getting physical strength and pranayama are tools for inner peace, calmness, and self-realization.  

   Asnas- the meaning of asana is posture, the concept of yoga that focuses on physical strength and well being is asanas. There are different asana or mudra in yoga through which a person can keep himself physically fit, flexible and active. There are many kinds of yoga and asanas like Tadasana, mundukasana, bhujangasana and many more. Different asanas focus on the particular body part and help in keeping them healthy.

   Different forms of yoga- yoga is not just a form rather it is a compilation of different styles and concepts. There are different styles of yoga for every person like tantra yoga, raja yoga, kundalini yoga, Sankhya yoga, and many others. However, they all lead towards one goal, to keep a person healthy both physically and mentally.   

   Pranayama- pranayama is a set of breathing exercise that helps in maintaining inner peace and mental purification. The benefits of pranayama go beyond physical fitness and weight loss. They help in having to develop a sixth sense and self-confidence.
